Further information on company capability and experience and our environmental interests in the construction, transportation, property, industrial/commercial property and other sectors can be found elsewhere on our web-site.
Following a significant increase in demand for our services on major infrastructure projects, we are now seeking to recruit consultants across all grades from technician through to principal consultant grade with interests and experience of work in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration assessment, monitoring and management.
Complementary interests and experience in dust and air quality would be an advantage.
Successful applicants will play a key role in the provision of technical services across our core sectors of work, including: construction noise and vibration management; indoor/outdoor noise and vibration surveys; noise and vibration calculations; noise and vibration impact assessments; detailed acoustical design and mitigation; stakeholder engagement; and commissioning surveys and compliance monitoring.
Candidates for consultant grade and above should be suitably qualified in acoustics or related subjects at graduate or post-graduate level and should have relevant experience in their specialist subjects at their respective levels. Opportunities for post-graduate training and sponsorship for part time study are available for candidates interested in a starting position at assistant consultant entry level.
Applications are invited from self-motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic and are prepared to maintain and contribute to our on-going achievements, and who possess good verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should be able to work on their own and within project teams both in the office and in the field when required.
Southdowns is an equal opportunities employer offering a comprehensive remuneration and benefits package and a commitment to CPD through our active training and mentoring schemes.
