Daniel Wicker

Dan joined Southdowns in 2017 following the completion of his BSc (Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Exeter where he studied modules in Meteorology, Environmental Modelling, Land-Atmosphere Interactions and Applied GIS. His final year project looked at changes in atmospheric circulation patterns and the effects of climate change on mountain glaciers in South America.

He now holds the position of Environmental Consultant and specialises in the preparation and delivery of air quality assessments and dust management plans for a mixture of residential, commercial and infrastructure planning applications in London and the Southeast. His work has also included dust risk assessments for the HS2 project.

With experience in using GIS software and atmospheric dispersion modelling software to predict the impacts of energy plant and construction and road traffic on local receptors, Dan also works on the delivery of several occupational and indoor air quality assessments. Since 2018, Dan has been an Associate Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES).
