Southdowns advises promoters, developers, contractors and Local Authorities on likely construction noise and vibration impacts and comprehensive management strategies.
Consultants have extensive experience in preparing and negotiating prior consent for works under Section 61 of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, and in advising Local Authorities on suitable consent conditions on particularly high profile and sensitive construction projects.
Construction noise and vibration monitoring is required for most major demolition and construction projects, and Southdowns have successfully developed and implemented innovative and cost-effective monitoring strategies for numerous small and major projects in the UK. The in-house fleet of noise and vibration monitoring systems are capable of being remotely interrogated and provide alert emails and SMS texts when pre-defined trigger levels are exceeded on site. With the consequent cost savings that such systems provide, our clients now enjoy being able to outsource the complete noise and vibration management package for the duration of a project without the need for in-house expertise or continuous and costly site-attendance by consultants.
We provide the following services:
Southdowns staff are recognised experts in the field of construction noise and vibration management and sit on the BSi committee for BS 5228. If you would like to learn more about our services then please contact us via our on-line enquiry form or by telephone.
