Southdowns advise promoters, developers, contractors and Local Authorities on construction noise and vibration impacts and management.

Consultants have extensive experience in preparing and negotiating prior consent for works under Section 61 of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, and in advising Local Authorities on suitable consent conditions on particularly high profile and sensitive construction projects.

Construction noise and vibration monitoring is required for most major development projects, and Southdowns have successfully developed and administered monitoring strategies for several major projects in the UK.

Staff can advise on damage risk from construction vibration and have also provided expert witness services at an international level on disputes on major construction projects.
