Sound Insulation Design & Testing

Approved Document E of the Building Regulations requires pre-completion sound insulation testing for all new build residential dwellings or conversions. Southdowns provides design advice to developers to minimise the risk that floor/ceiling or party wall constructions eventually fail the numerical sound insulation tests once constructed.

Southdowns is a registered testing organisation under the Association of Noise Consultants Registration Scheme for pre-completion testing. Formal certificates are issued for every test that passes the numerical standards set-out in the Regulations.
