Super Materials Recovery Facility, Wembley

Southdowns were responsible for the complete noise and vibration input to EIA and provisional mitigation design work package for a major MRF scheme in Wembley. The scheme comprised the sorting and recycling of multiple waste types from municipal and other collections for reuse for power generation via the biomass plant or disposal. The activities associated with the facility included heavy goods (HGVs) and diesel trains arriving and departing site with waste materials, mobile plant on site sorting and moving the material around, the biomass power generation plant and fixed plant used in the sorting and grading processes.
