Tottenham Court Road Station Upgrade
Southdowns is providing specialist expertise to London Underground's Multi Disciplinary Consultant on the project.
The redevelopment of Tottenham Court Road station will include an enlarged ticket hall six times the size of the current one, a 200 per cent increase in station capacity, new entrances, five new lifts to provide step-free access and additional escalators. Other benefits will increase safety and security, enhance accessibility and improve passenger information.
Southdowns is providing technical support to the MDC during the detailed design stages on the aspects of groundborne noise and vibration associated with the demolition, construction and operation phases of the re-development.
