Croydon Tramlink Extension

Southdowns provided advice to the Promoters of the proposed Croydon Tramlink extension to Crystal Palace.

Southdowns staff were involved in the appraisal of a number of potential route options for the new tram system, and advising the scheme Promoters on the noise and vibration issues associated with each option variant. This process involved the full consideration of all environmental and engineering disciplines required to identify a single recommended route. Southdowns personnel were scheduled to develop the Environmental Impact Assessment and provide expert testimony during the envisaged public inquiry for the scheme which was shelved by TfL on the recommendation of the new London Mayor.
